The folded plane roof design is inspired by the art of Origami.
The passenger terminal combines both Domestic and International passenger processing facilities, 2 linear concourses and a central pier for a total of 13 International and 9 Domestic gates.
The terminal complex integrates multi-modal air, rail, and ground transportation facilities on this reclaimed island airport off the coast of Nagoya.
